Sharing Session???
Wow...r there rilli such horrifying kids in sch nowadays??? phew...i shld rilli count myself lucky then...after reading wat Jingjie has written....i benefitted alot from it too...haha...thanx chariman...maybe u can clock into traisi for conducting this sharing session on classroom management...hee...
with regard to 'violent' students...my method of handling is the same as jingjie...i will tell the fearful consequences of their doings...most of the time they do it cos they dunno the consequences...like i always like to ask them bout charity progs eg.NKF Cancer Show...whether they saw the young kids like them suffering from illnesses...then i will jie ti fa hui....the boy who has cancer lost his limbs...can u imagine how will he feel? if u play on the staircase or trip ur fren n he lost his legs....would u want to exchange ur limbs? they somehow got wat u r trying to say...try using this method for ur violent ones...
as for the other trouble makers...i believe for lower pri...they need individual attention...however we are unable to give them in class...tats y i will ask the pupil who's giving mi trouble to follow me to the staff rm straight after lesson...given the changed environment in the staff rm...and only mi n him...he will be able to listen to wat i say beta...normally after the talk in the staffrm...wheneva he is trying to b up to mischeif in class...i juz need to give him a glance n he will get wat i mean...i tink the most impt thing is he noes u want the best out of him...if a teacher cares...the student can feel it...patience...we need alot of it...u juz started...things wouldnt change so fast...give urself more time n of cos the kids as well...
its juz my personal experience...hope it works for u...rem, we have to be firm...firm with everyone single one...firm with expectations...firm with rules...firm with equal punishment...
